This layout came together relatively smoothly. All of the Project Life cards used are from the Man's World set. These cards have a great color scheme of blues and greens. I used the subtle blue to add some color to this layout without distraction.


I decorated the left page with probably way too many puffy stickers. I used Maggie Holmes puffy stickers to create a little title. I decorated the same card with a Target puffy sticker and a cute little heart sticker. The adjacent pocket card uses a We R Memory Keepers label sticker and a Pink Paisless banner sticker.


The smaller page includes one smaller photo and one filler card. I again, wanted to keep this simple. I used a stamp from Whimsy Stamps to add some interest. I used Memento black ink to get a clear impression. I used some washi tape for a pop of color and layered some wood veneer on top.

I went out of the box this month with a supersize card! I rarely do large cards, but this adorable bear needed to be used! I made a 5x7 card base out of Kraft cardstock. I then cut two layers of paper. The first one is cut to 4 3/4" x 6 3/4" and it is a light brown cardstock. The second piece is cut to 4 1/2" x 6 1/2". This patterned paper is from an autumnal paper pad from Craft Smith.


Our bear friend here was lightly watercolored with a light brown and a bright green. I then developed this cute little sign myself. I used Avery Elle alphabet stamp set and Memento black ink. I came up with the bear-thday sentiment after seeing this image. I love a great pun card.


For more interest on this card. I used some black thread under the watercolored image. On the opposite side I used three Echo Park enamel dots. I hope you enjoyed this large and punny card! Thanks for stopping by!

I included a Simple Stories diecut piece and a Studio Calico arrow wood veneer to emphasize the angle to the track. This was overall a very interesting experience. I didn't think that it would be as cool as it was, but definitely worth checking out if you're heading out there.



To complete this little pocket, I included a puffy sticker from Pink Paislee. This geotag shaped sticker will hopefully remind me to put the address down when I get to the journaling. I included sequins from several places in this shaker pocket. I used Wild Whisper, Spiegel Mom Scraps, Kat Scrappiness, and Darice. There are so many sequin shops out there, but I try to support as many as I can with my addiction. If you would like to know where a specific one came from I would be happy to tell you. To complete this card I used a giant red puffy heart sticker and some Tim Holtz tiny phrase stickers.


The other two pockets of this layout remained simple. The shaker pocket is the star of the show here. My top right pocket features a photo of the sign for the donut shop we visited. Then, the last photo is a beautiful photograph of what we ordered! The donuts were yummy, but I don't think I'm a fan of a hot donut. I prefer my donuts room temperature instead. I used two Elle's Studio label pieces to created a little cluster. I added a wood veneer and a puffy heart for some dimension.

I paired two different styles of Simple Stories 6x8 pocket pages. The one on the left features three pockets while the right page features six different pockets. I wanted a majority of the space to be photos as I had mentioned earlier, so I picked out some larger photos to recap the zoo and aquarium trips. I decided to do a yellow and blue themed page for this spread.


My left page, has one focus picture. I'm not entirely sure if people would be able to tell what this was a photo of, but I think once I fill in the journaling card it'll make more sense. Now, for all of you wondering, this is a photo in the aquarium tunnel underneath the polar bear habitat. This little fella decided to just sit on top of the tube while we were under it. The curved glass distorted the picture slightly, but you can still see his huge paws.



That little sparkly heart corresponds with this fun glittery title. This phrase "life is good" is from the same Heidi Swapp sticker set. I placed it on top of a journaling card from We R Memory Keepers. I also included a small Jillibean Soup label sticker for an extra little something.


The second side of this layout features a lot more photos. I still have leftover photos from this excursion so I think I'll need to create a pocket for the very back of the book to include all of the extras. I picked out my large photos first and decided to leave those pockets plain. Then, I found some photos that could be cut down easily to fit in to the 2" x 2" pockets. Once all of the photos were cut, I moved on to filling in the empty spots!


I used a piece of patterned paper from Pink Paislee's Citrus Bliss collection for this filler piece. I topped it with a puffy sticker from Pink Paislee's C'est La Vie collection. I paired that with another asterisk and glitter heart. My last filler card is using a light blue patterned paper from Kathy Davis. I used some Jillibean Soup stickers and an Amy Tangerine puffy sticker to add some details. That finishes up this double page spread. I hope you enjoyed seeing all of these fun zoo pictures. My first page is a 4x6 with 2 3x4 pockets from Simple Stories. I filled these pockets with some of my photos from this day. I included a cute seal and some translucent jellyfish. I have found that Simple Stories pocket pages are not my favorite. These pockets are huge. Compared to Project Life sized pockets, these ones from Simple Stories have too much extra room.

The second page is a full 6x8 page from Simple Stories divided in to one 4x6 and two 3x4 pockets. I used filler cards in the top two sections and a full photo in the bottom section. The bottom photo reads "beauty is so inspiring". I made that from Pretty Little Studio diecuts and some Studio Calico alphabet stickers. I added some more of the gold sequins for fun sparkle.


I suppose this would be considered my title card. I used a Heidi Swapp Project Life card from the Glitter collection I think and built it to work for me. I started by adding a Pink Paislee hello puffy sticker. The teal shade was too perfect not to include. I finished off my title using Heidi Swapp glitter alphabet stickers and October Afternoon tile alphabet stickers.


Lastly, I made a place to journal. This card is from We R Memory Keepers Typecast collection. I felt a little weird combining bright white and then this cream color, but it works. I included a chipboard heart as well. I hope you enjoyed this layout share. Thanks for stopping by!

Hello friends of the internet! I feel like I haven't updated you thoroughly in a while, but I think I have been all week, so it just feels odd. Anyway, I wanted to share my experience of attempting to pack up my scrapbook stuff and while this video doesn't do the process much justice (it was much more than anticipated), it does give a brief look at how I went about packing it up. I used 110 lb Kraft cardstock as my base. Then, I used a piece of patterned paper from Crate Paper to create  fun background. I believe it is from the Notes & Things collection. I cut this piece to 4" x 5 1/4" so there would still be a small border around the pattern.


My main focus on this card is this tag and pocket page card combo. The tag behind it is from Recollections and adds a nice pop of bright white and some more delicate detail. I layered the pocket page card on top of the tag to provide contrast. The pocket page card is from Recollections as well which can be found at Michaels. I wanted to make this card work for me, so I expanded the sentiment from just "love" to "love you" by stamping. This little stamp is from Lawn Fawn's Meow You Doing stamp set.

These past couple of weeks have gone by so, so quickly. I have just moved and I'm still trying to get settled in my new place. I explain a little bit more in the video, but also check out my Instagram page for more updates. So, while it will be a little while before I can craft in my new place, I have pre-made and pre-filmed some projects/videos for you all to enjoy in the mean time. Before I had left home, I decided I would film a very honest craft room your. What I mean by the word honest is that there was no tidying up or cleaning before I started filming. I wanted to keep everything dark, but not let the photo get lost. The photo pops regardless of whether or not I put it with a black background or a white background due to the contrast within the photo itself. I kept this layout simple in order to let the photo shine. I did add a lot of texture through various mediums though. I used pom-pom trim which you can barely see in the overview photo, but I promise it is there! My title is a small flair piece (actually a pin) from Michaels. I added some bundled up black thread beneath that for more interest.


The grid pattern on the bottom half of the layout was simple to do, plus I used up some scraps! These are various papers, but mostly from some of my DCWV stacks. I cut my squares to 1 3/4" x 1 3/4" so they had a thicker border. The original sketch had a lot of stitching on this layout, but I was not up to the challenge. Another little element that I added was this circular puffy sticker from MAMBI.


This layout was quick and easy and may be a go to sketch for future 8 1/2 x 11" layouts. I highly recommend that you check out the Facebook group and join in on the fun. This organizational goal also isn't going well with my life changes. I have a system that kinda works currently, but not really. I plan on filming a craft room tour before I completely move out hopefully, but it won't be the cleanest. You'll get a little glimpse of the current system when I film that. I have been creating cards still which you've seen a lot here on the blog.

I think it is always so interesting to see how others work on specific projects, specially keeping all of the things together.
