I layered the photo using a Wild Whisper Design pocket card with a cute star pattern. I trimmed out the under part to save it for another project. I also put down a layer of washi tape on the left hand side. The main embellishment on this page is the beautiful gold embossed stamped image. This image is from the Wild Whisper's Home for the Holidays stamp set. It looks absolutely amazing heat embossed!


On top of this extremely detailed piece, I put a Pretty Little Studio tiny word label. A nice bright pop of red helps balance the small and intricate detail. I paired this with a SpiegelMom Scraps cork heart and sequins!


Of course, I had to sprinkle some extra sequins in the top right. Although a simple layout, it helps document just a tiny bit of our decorating. I do plan on documenting more later in the album. Hello crafty people! Welcome back! Today I have a tutorial that I have been teasing on my Instagram and with a previous layout that I made. I am showing you how you can stitch in any style font, any shape, or any pattern and how to do it! The video tutorial below shows a real time example, but I'll add some more details down below.

The photo of my pup is framed in a Freckled Fawn wood veneer piece. I got this in a mystery bag event that they had. Beneath the frame I included two washi strips. The light gray washi tape is from Target and the gold and white washi tape is from Scotch. To the right of that, I used a Pretty Little Studio phrase cut apart piece.


I decorated this side with a cork heart from Spiegel Mom Scraps and some Echo Park enamel dots. If I had been thinking of it at the time. This layout would have looked really cool with some gold thread looped behind the layers.

The second page of this two page spread is much simpler since it has a larger photo. I matted the photo on a piece of Pinkfresh Studio paper for a light gray border. I created a small cluster in the bottom of right now only to balance out the opposite side, but also to put emphasis on the cute cat in the photo! The cluster uses a copper paper clip bow, wood veneer snowflake, enamel dots, and a label. The label is created from the Wild Whisper Home For The Holidays stamp set. There are so many cute phrases and two different label styles. They're the perfect size for pocket pages!

I used the cut apart squares to dictate my color scheme. Luckily, I found this beautiful American Crafts paper in my stash. I really loved how the small squares matched so well! This photo is of myself with the school's mascot statue after my graduation ceremony. I thought the "You Go Girl" sentiment was appropriate for this occasion. Also, the graduation layouts aren't even closed to being complete. There are many, many more to come!



I layered my photo on a baby pink and gold foiled patterned paper from DCWV. This allows it to pop from the background just a little more. Next to the photo, I used three of the 2x2 squares that Ally sent me. I used teal, yellow, and pink to help balance the warm and cool tones. I layered a white doily behind them to help the colors pop too. I used a Studio Calico wood veneer bird and an American Crafts chipboard heart for some embellishing.

My front cover is very simple. The album itself came with a chevron texture which I thought didn't truly go with the theme, but used it anyway. I decorated the outside cover with a lot of chipboard pieces from Echo Park. I used a EK Success glitter sticker for the title of the album. I added the date to the front of the album using Pink Fresh Studio gold foil stickers. A simple album cover for my first "December Daily" album. Then, I began working on my cover page!


The cover page is actually not a traditional pocket page, but a file folder from Teresa Collins. It's a really unique item that is not included in mainstream scrapbooking collections. I really love how these file folders let the colors and textures really shine. You can actually feel the wood veneer and see the strings move. I find it much more interactive than a traditional pocket page album with sleeves.


On the cover of the file folder I used a white doily from Wilton and layered some Elle's Studio bits on top. The tag is from their Oh Joy bits and pieces and the rectangular quote is from one of their cut apart sheets. I looped some silver embroidery floss through the tag for some more movement.


I snuck in a little stamp under the right side of the doily. This stamp is from the Wild Whisper Home for the Holidays collection. I used an accidental combo of Colorbox Seattle Sky and Colorbox Lipstick Red. I also decorated the cover with various texture pieces.


Mainly, I used some wood veneer snowflakes from Recollections as well as some wood veneer hearts from my stash. I also used a variety of Echo Park enamel dots for some shine.

Wilton, 24 Count Doilies - White

This card base is made out of 110 lb white cardstock from Coredinations. I cut it down to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored it at 4 1/4". Once my base was completed, I moved on to cutting my patterned paper background. This beautiful woodgrain background is from Basic Grey's Granola 6x6 paper pad. I cut this layer to 4" x 5 1/4" to leave a small white border from the base of the card.


Next, I worked on stamping out my sentiment piece. I am using a stamp set from My Favorite Things called All About You. All of the products I used on this card are linked down below so you can purchase them conveniently! I used Memento black ink in conjunction with my stamping tool to ensure a clean and crisp image. I cut the strip into a simple banner to add more interest.


Next, I created these two cuties! I stamped this cats from the Lawn Fawn Meow You Doing' Stamp set. I used Memento Black ink. Once stamped, I used my colored pencils to lightly shade them in to match the color scheme of the card. I trimmed them out, but there is a coordinating die set.


To complete this card, I used enamel dots on the outside from Paper Studio. I also stamped a sentiment from the Lawn Fawn set on the inside with a little heart. Who doesn't like a cute pun? I hope you enjoyed this card share. Thanks for stopping by!

Hello friends and welcome back! Today I am sharing a really fun and bright layout with you all. This has been the first 12x12 layout in what seems like months that I haven't filmed. Sometimes it is important to take a step back and just create to have fun. Although, I often find that I wish I had filmed the process for you all when I create layouts like this one! The daylight savings has been kicking my butt for filming. I can only film on the weekends now with my work schedule, but nevertheless I have been bulk filming to make up for it.


This layout is about the final moments of my role as a college student (on campus that is). Some of you know that I finished college early, but to do so, I took summer classes after my graduation ceremony. Even symbolic moments like these are really great to capture.


I started this layout with a cross patterned paper from Simple Stories. I matted my two photos on some Pink Paislee Citrus Bliss 6x6 papers.  My color palette for this layout was inspired by this die cut floral piece from American Crafts. Pieces like these are great starting points for layouts. They are easy to build color palettes off of. I paired this die cut piece with two large wood veneer butterflies. I also included a die cut key by Shimelle to go with the theme of the photos.


I wanted to include a cluster on the right hand side to help balance out the left hand side. I used a little die cut from Kaiser Craft that says "enjoy the ride" as a base. I also used a Pretty Little studio cut apart label. I used a heart flair from April Lilli, a resin flower, and some pearls to decorate. All over my entire layout are adorable tiny stamped hearts. This stamp is from Pink Fresh Studio and adds a lot with a little work.


My title for this layout is "final moments". I decided to hand stitch it and I plan on making a video tutorial soon on how to create a stitching pattern using your own hand writing! Beneath the title I used a Simple Stories die cut that says "real life" to bring in more pink and a Studio Calico vellum arrow to bring in another pop of yellow.


The hand stitching is really simple to do. I will also include in the video tutorial how to make a template to stitch any shape that you want. So definitely look forward to that! I sprinkled some other pearl stickers and resin flowers throughout the page as well.


Stitching the dot of the "i" was a little tricky. I actually ripped the paper, but to fix it, I simply added a mini wood veneer as the dot. Simple fixes like this are easy ways to skip the stress of a little layout mishap.


This layout again, was a great break from videoing layouts. I took my time and found it very easy to put together. I hope you enjoyed this layout share and hope you look forward to the stitching tutorial. Thanks for stopping by!

If you want to get sneak peeks of future projects follow me on Instagram! I am posting sneak peeks, stories, and giveaways over there! These shaker cards are a smaller size that I am still getting used to. The card bases are made out of 110 lb cardstock from Core'dinations. The bases are cut to 7" x 5" and scored at 3 1/2".


Once the bases were cut and scored, I moved on to the next later. This layer is a beautiful piece of patterned paper from Craft Smith (found at Michael's) that I used a stitched rectangle die on. I purchased these dies from an overseas site and they work fairly well, however I would recommend purchasing stitched rectangle dies from your favorite stamp company. There are so many great ones out there and I'm looking forward to buying a larger set once I have some crafty cash. Let me know your favorite brand of stitched rectangle dies in the comments! I would like a set with lots of different sizes.


Once those layers were cut, I moved on to the shaker portion. I made this shaker card by using the same stitched rectangle die set. I first cut a background panel for the shaker out of dark brown cardstock. Once that back panel was cut, I wanted to add something more. I grabbed a background stamp that was given to me in a RAK that has a beautiful leaf pattern. I took the stamp and used Versamark Ink to prep it for embossing. I then used WOW! Gold Glitter Embossing powder to highlight the pattern. After setting it with my heat tool, I moved on to the sentiment. My sentiments for these cards are little labels from the same Craft Smith paper pad. Very easy to use and so cute!


I made the shaker front frame using two of the stitched rectangle dies and taped them together. Attempting to make them as equally spaced as possible and ran it through my Cuttlebug machine. I die cut two window pieces, one for each card. Once the frames were ready I started building the shaker window. The window is made out of leftover packaging from some scrappy supplies. I don't but acetate only since I like to reuse and re-purpose things that would otherwise go to waste. Once the plastic was in place, I built up the walls of the window by using foam squares. I find that these are very easy to use and place, as long as you don't mind peeling off all of the little backing pieces which can become quite tedious.


Once the window was ready it was time to add sequins! I used Sweater Weather sequins designed by Spiegel Mom Scraps for Wild Whisper Designs, Jillibean soup large pink sequins, and Darice brown and orange sequins. Using sequin packs like the one available from Wild Whisper helps build a solid base for a shaker card. I love to also mix in some other colors for a custom look. I adhered a couple of the sequins on the outside of the window once the whole card was put together. Ta-da! A beautiful and easy shaker card. Sometimes the shaker cards I see online look overly complicated, but if you give it a try, you'll see how fun they are! If you have any questions please let me know. This is a larger than normal card for me which is 5" x 7" when folded. I decided to use 110 lb kraft cardstock as my base. I use the Joann's brand of heavy weight cardstock. I find it to be relatively inexpensive compared to other options that I have seen. Let me know what cardstock brands you prefer that are on the cheaper side. I'd love to try some new ones out.


My main patterned paper is from Craft Smith's autumnal paper pad that can be found at Michael's. This darling pattern is a beautiful red/orange with a light tan leaf pattern to add detail. I cut this piece to 4 3/4" x 6 3/4". I wanted to ensure that there would be a border around the edge of the shaker card. To create my shaker card, I used my largest Echo Park scalloped circle die to cut a piece for the window. Then, I added the acetate from some leftover packaging to the back of my window. Next, I used foam adhesive to create my shaker.


Once my foam adhesive was in place I got to add my sequins! I used Evergreen Bough from Spiegel Mom Scraps, white and brown sequins from Darice, and leaf green sequins from Jillibean Soup. This is a really fun combo of oranges and greens. I also like how the patterned paper is match-matchy with the sequins. I used a WPlus9 Stamp set for the fun little plaid pumpkin in the center of my card. I stamped it with Cajun Craze from Stampin' Up. I finished the shaker card sandwich using a piece of dark brown cardstock cut to slightly larger than the patterned paper panel.


Once all of the layers were firmly glued together, I continued decorating. I added some sequins on the outside of the card to keep the interest going past the shaker card.
