Hi crafty friends! Welcome back to my blog! I have an elegant card to share with you today. I had a request for a wedding shower card recently and I thought that the My Mind's Eye Yes Please collection would be perfect. This is a cream based collection which I don't normally find myself working with so this was a nice change. I started with an A2 sized card base.
The main sentiment is a stamp from Simon Says Stamp. I stamped it in Veramark Ink on black cardstock and then embossed it with Wow! gold embossing powder and my heat gun. Once this was dry and cooled, I used my Spellbinders Nestabilities dies in this fancy top note shape to cut out my sentiment. I cut off the bottom half of the shape to make it smaller.
I then used the backside of the striped patterned paper which is a polka dot pattern to add more detail. I used an EK Success border punch to make it a lace like pattern. I raised this whole element on foam adhesive. To add even more detail to this card, I used another die except this time it is by Sizzix. I cut these leaves out using black cardstock. If I could go by and change anything, I think these leaves would've looked good with a hint of sparkle.
Lastly, I used a pack of Kat Scrappiness sequins to add more hints of gold and black. This was a very fun and fancy card to make. I rarely do things with this much foil, glitter, and shine. I hope you enjoyed this wedding shower card! Thanks for stopping by!
I then covered the front of my white card base with cream colored cardstock. It is cut to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" to cover the entire front. Then, I picked out this vertical stripe and foiled paper from My Mind's Eye and cut that down to 4" x 5 1/4". I then worked on my sentiment section.
