Hi friends! Welcome back to the blog for another card creation share. Today's card has a whimsical theme and a refreshing taste of pastel patterns. I recently hauled a few new things from Joann's and decided to give them a try. This adorable little stamp set is from Hot Off The Press and I thought it was so precious.
I used some 110 lb cardstock to create an A2 sized card base (4 1/4" x 5 1/2" once folded). Then, I used some kraft cardstock at 4" x 5 1/4" as a layer on top of that. Next, I dove into the Hello Pastel paper pad by Prima. This paper pad has some of the most luscious color scheme for pastels! It's so perfect to go with a fairy themed stamp like this one.
I used one floral piece of the patterned paper cut down to 3 3/4" x 5". If I had those lovely die sets that make little stitching lines around I would've loved to use them on this card! Don't worry though, they're on my wish list! Maybe some day soon they'll be in my collection! I stamped the image and sentiment in Staz-On ink and used my basic watercolors to color my image. The image is layered on top of a plaid patterned paper cut to 3 "x 3 1/2".
The sentiment is stamped on a predesigned tag that came with the paper pad. It also came with other bits and pieces that can be cut out. I always love when paper pads have cut apart sections. Do you like cut aparts in your paper pads? I think that it's nice to not have to use punches or my die cutting machine to get a little extra something from the papers. Plus, it already coordinates!
On the right hand side of the card I used another one of my Wilton doilies. Will I ever run out of doilies?! Probably not if I'm being honest with myself, but I'll buy more if I see them on sale. To complete this card I used some silver twine from Spritz from Target to add a small bow. Then, I added a few gray enamel dots sprinkled around. That is my first ever finished set of enamel dots!
