Whenever I do layouts about food, I like to have a nice spot for journaling since I usually want to include some savory details! I used this label sticker from Heidi Swapp which also brings in more of the mustard color I incorporated on the layout.


To finish off this page I used some enamel dots. This is a relatively simple layout, but I love how it turned out! Let me know what you think too!

I do say that my embellishment clusters somehow turned in to one giant photo embellishment cluster, haha! I do still enjoy all of the small stickers and sequins and elements in between that make the layout look cohesive.

I decided to go for a completely alternative color scheme as opposed to the natural greens and blues I'd typically work with for nature photos. These dark floral background papers add a stark contrast to the lighter layers of the layout. The light blue polka dot paper across the two pages help give it a cohesive look that draws your eye naturally across the page. I mimick this same line of sight for the title, splitting it over the two pages! Below is the process video that shares all of the details as I created the pages.

The bottom left cluster might be my ultimate favorite. An adorable quote from One Canoe Two's paper pad, paired with a watering can and other stickers, the cutest! Navy and pink was a huge trend a few years ago in both fashion and crafting, but here I am bringing it back! What's your favorite color combo at the moment?


I did sneak in some stamping on these pages, but I almost forgot! I am a little sad that these are black inked images rather than navy, but I am taking some navy ink pad recommendations!


Looking at the two pages separately, I believe they could easily be their own individual pages. If you're struggling with double page layouts, I recommend trying to treat them as individual layouts, just using the same products.


The pink washi tape strips add a bold punch of pink power to the page and really ties in the color from the background pattern. The cluster is small but wordy so it looks quite impactful.


I enjoyed adding in small details, like sticker strips and these clear gold foiled leaf stickers at the end. I think ti added the interest that this layout needed. This is a double-page spread with two 4x6 pockets on the left and four 3x4 pockets on the right. Most of these pockets are filled with photos so I had to get creative with embellishing and titling! I use the blank space in the photos as a perfect spot for small embellishment clusters and tucking in titles.

Since I cut one of my photos too small for the pocket, I decided to cut it even smaller and put it on top of a 3x4 pattern paper piece. I used stickers to my advantage on this page to help create small clusters. I did include a teeny bit of stamping on these cards, which still counts in an effort to stamp more!

Overall, I think the deeper reds and greens help pull out the colors in the photo, while also complementing the theme. The stark title helps to break up the repetitive colors and the dimensional chipboard pieces help bring a little extra interest! I hope you enjoyed!

Time for another Crafty Christmas in July inspired layout! This is also paired with my Summer of Stories episodes that are running throughout the summer! I recently finished my 2016 Christmas Mini Album but had a ton of photos leftover, so I decided to make an additional album as a gift!



These pages were simple, but impactful thanks to color impact and texture! The left-hand side is full of so many different layers! As some of you know, I truly enjoy mixing and matching products. I took some vintage-styled items from K & Company and paired them with pop art design like pieces from Echo Park! The colors really drive the layout to make it feel a bit more cohesive, but don't be afraid to experiment! Something you hate now might just grow on you!


Another thing that really pulls the layouts into one is the repetitive items. The gold stars, the puffy stars, and similar patterns keep the eyes focused on these pages. The only way the right layout was going to succeed was through contrast. Red and green are opposing colors, but we love them anyway. Since there is red in my photos, I decided to go for a heavy green background, they automatically pop! I added in some additional alternating paper layers to keep the contrast building up!

Hi friends and welcome back to a new week of Summer of Stories! I think this one is definitely one of my favorite layouts so far! I'm also so excited to be stretching my creative abilities by using Christmas supplies on non-Christmas layouts! Let's dive right in!




As you can see on this page there are a ton of frames! I often don't reach for frames because I think they're always weird sizes I can never seem to fit on a photo! Here I use them to create bounding areas for embellishment clusters, journaling, and titles!


I really like how there are very few paper layers on this page. The colors of the photos are busy, so I wanted to keep things simple. The embellishment clusters, for the most part, are monochromatic with blues. This helps keep the focus on the photos themselves.

This spread is an 8x8 chipboard album spread. I decided to use the remaining photos from my 2016 album to make a mini album for my brother and sister-in-law. These were really simple layouts to create. I covered the chipboard with some DCWV paper, but did that off camera. I have several process videos from a previous chipboard album where I show my process on how I do that. Below is the process video for these pages that explains my embellishing choices and more!

Welcome back, friends! Today is another episode of Summer of Stories and also a collab for Crafty Christmas in July! So get your holiday outfits on and let's get to scrapping!



The natural elements with the wood grain started from wanting to use the kraft alphabet for the title. I used wood buttons, and wood grain die-cuts to give it this natural feel. This also helps add a ton of dimension to a rather flat layout.


Overall, this is a heavy black, white, and red layout with accents of kraft/natural and green. I prefer green as an accent color in this particular color scheme because it is a subtler color in the photo.

I created another small cluster in the bottom left of the photo cluster. I added this little flair from Humble and Create that says 'sleep in'. I paired another resin flower in to this cluster to give more color to this corner of the page. I added a doodle border to the entire layout to make it feel more complete.

I used a few sheets of the Christmas papers to mat my photo. The bright red feels a teeny bit Christmasy, but you don't really notice unless you really look. The layers of tags and tabs gives it more of an office vibe and avoids Christmas altogether. I mixed in a few paper clips to give it texture and dimension.


I think the accents from outside of my kit really helped bring it together. I used some leatherette stickers from Pinkfresh Studio, a Paige Evans puffy sticker, and a Paper Studio acrylic globe. What really pulled the color scheme together however were the Christmas elements!


I think having a smaller title like this helps ground the page. It gives a place for your eye to rest and just be amongst all of the crazy layers and textures happening on this page. These stickers are from a sticker book I had picked up at Walmart! A great find!


Overall, I absolutely love how this page came out. It doesn't feel Christmasy at all based on first glance. I hope this inspires you to look at your Christmas supplies a bit differently and give this a whirl. Thanks for stopping by!

These tag cut aparts from the paper pad were instrumental in keeping the color scheme and cohesiveness of this page perfect. While I did introduce some other elements from other brands, these were the bases of the clusters on these pages. Since they matched the colors of the papers they were placed on top of, I made sure to use foam adhesive to give them some dimension.


Some of the final touches for these pages came from cream and natural colored elements. I opted for no white on this layout to keep the color scheme. The wood veneer definitely brought out more of the natural and rustic elements of the photos. A wood veneer title is certainly something I don't get to do often, but I love it! Those Momenta wood stickers were awesome!


Yes, those are letter stickers on top of my photos! Eek! I was nervous to put them there, as I had only done it a handful of times before, but I'm so happy I did. I struggled to find a place where these orange stickers could go since they so easily faded into the background. Then they ended up here, on top of the white space in these photos.
