This cluster came together surprisingly easily. I started off by pulling some Elle's Studio cut apart pieces including the "merry & bright" label and the star border. I knew I wanted something under the Echo Park chipboard piece and decided to get a little creative. I took an Elle's Studio pocket page card and cut this beautiful floral wreath and trimmed it out of the center of the card. I love how this layered element came out!


On the left hand page I have two filler cards. The top one on the left is actually the title card and it is again from Elle's Studio. I decided to dress this card up a tiny bit by adding a strip of washi tape along the bottom from Recollections. To add dimension I sprinkled on a couple of my enamel dots from Echo Park.


The last card is my journaling card. This card again is from Elle's Studio (surprise, surprise). I put a couple of enamel dots on top of the presents for a little extra pop. I hope you guys enjoyed this project! Thanks for stopping by!

I'm featuring three different ways to dress up your plain old pinecones in unique ways! Some are more time consuming and messier than others, but all yield great results. These techniques all revolve around a snowy pinecone look. I hope you enjoy this video tutorial and if you have any questions please let me know!


If I had to pick my favorite technique for spicing up pinecones, it would have to be the one using fake snow! I think it adds a really fun texture and it captures the light beautifully. I also like the idea of filling a whole vase full of snow dusted pinecones. It would make a beautiful center piece! Plus, if you use the cinnamon scented ones you'll have an amazing smelling room.


Once all of my pinecones were decorated, I started to put together the center piece. There are so many different ways you could put these pinecones to use. I thought a center piece home decor item would be great for any room in the house. Any vase or container will work! Just add a bow to your container and pour in the pinecones! A very simple, yet effective way to spruce up any room.

Better Homes Cinnamon Scented Pinecones

I totally love the way that this 6x8 page turned out. I'm slowly realizing that most of my 6x8 layouts look very similar to one another in terms of layout. But since I'm still loving it, I'll keep doing it this way. I hope you guys enjoy the process video for this layout!


I find such pleasure in mixing and matching my collections in my stash. This particular layout features products from Echo Park, Elle's Studio, Pink Fresh Studio, and Kaiser Craft. I have all of the products that are still available linked at the bottom of this post in case you are interested!


I had this chipboard piece staring at me for a while and I am so beyond glad I found a spot for it! While our tree wasn't delivered, we did go and get a real one this year! I paired it with an embossed doily to give it more contrast against the Pink Fresh Studio background paper.


The left page of this spread is pretty simple. I used the back side of the Elle's Studio card I used in my last pocket page spread. A good way to stretch your stash if things line up correctly! I adored these little stockings. I used some Freckled Fawn washi tape underneath a Pretty Little Studio label with foam adhesive. I also scattered some enamel dots on this card for more dimension and texture.

Pinkfresh Studio Double-Sided Paper Pack 12"X12" 16/Pkg-Oh Joy, 16 Designs

I started this layout using a sketch that Sara Scraps shared in the Crafty Maven Getaway Facebook Group for their online crop. I pulled out a bunch of Christmas supplies and jumped right in by pulling out different patterned papers. I chose a couple of Wild Whisper Home for the Holidays collection as the main focus. I absolutely want to cuddle this paper with the beautiful array of plant sprigs. Let's dive right in to the process video!



I followed the sketch pretty closely this time. I usually have a very hard time making sketches work for me. I still managed to mix and match various collections on this layout. It's much easier to mix Christmas collections since they tend to have similar color schemes.


My title is made out of some Target chipboard letters and a Heidi Swapp acetate word diecut. I put some washi tape under the title to make it feel like it was not so floaty. I also paired a candy cane chipboard sticker from Echo Park next to the title to bring in a brighter red.


Underneath the title I include some different cut apart pieces. The green one is from Elle's Studio and the red one is from Pretty Little Studio. I also sprinkled in a couple of brads and some chipboard circles. To the right of the title is my short little journaling. One of my goals going in to 2018 is to work on journaling on my layouts. I typically forget to put on journaling and it is such a bad habit.


While most of my layouts are pretty much self explanatory stories, there is always more that could be told. I used some gold doilies to help bring some attention to the photos. I used so many brads on this layout and I can hardly believe it! I haven't used brace in so long, but these Christmas ones are adorable!

I started this project by gathering my supplies. The main supplies you will need are the plain garland, a way to hang it, and decorations. My garland is from the Dollar Tree. Although it is lower quality, you did get a long length for your money. If you're looking for a thicker garland, you can stack these up more and more for increased texture. As for decorations, I pulled out so many with tons of ideas I had, but what I ended up using included poinsettias, burlap bows, small pinecones, and holly berries. You can fit your decoration choices into any budget by utilizing coupons and the Dollar Store! Enjoy the video tutorial for this DIY Christmas Garland!


This is a simple and super customizable DIY. The hardest part about it is probably deciding what to put on it! There's also the decision on how to hang it. I went the Command Hook route because I can hang something up for each season. I absolutely adore how this came out and as I mentioned before the possibilities are endless! I really enjoyed making the centerpiece the most. I like how it draws the attention right to the center.

The green triangle background paper gives off Christmas tree vibes. All of the patterned papers used on this layout are from the My Mind's Eye Sleigh Bells collection. Although it has a vintage feel, I think it looks great when paired with some more clean and simple elements from Echo Park's Christmas lines. I layered a strip of washi tape between the green traingle background and the red chevron pattern.


To balance the left and right sides of the layout, I created a fun piece in the upper left hand corner. As you may already know, I fell in love with this technique when I see Kira Ness do it on a variety of layouts. You simple cut a slit in the background paper, fold over the corners and tuck a different patterned paper behind it. It's a fun way to mix and match patterns. I included two Tim Holtz phrase stickers to bring in more black to the top cluster.


Now, this may sound crazy, but I attached actual jingle bells to my layout! I used white and green twine to connect the two. I tucked the string under this chipboard tag piece from Echo Park. I think it is an adorable touch, but I am worried about the page protector becoming damaged because of it.




The brad usage continues as I included on in the cluster to the right of the photo as well! I also grabbed this Echo Park chipboard present as a main focal point. I love the bold red and black combo on top of the crisp white doily. I sprinkled some smaller chipboard pieces from Echo Park on the side of the photo as well. I hope you enjoyed this layout share! I layered the photo using a Wild Whisper Design pocket card with a cute star pattern. I trimmed out the under part to save it for another project. I also put down a layer of washi tape on the left hand side. The main embellishment on this page is the beautiful gold embossed stamped image. This image is from the Wild Whisper's Home for the Holidays stamp set. It looks absolutely amazing heat embossed!


On top of this extremely detailed piece, I put a Pretty Little Studio tiny word label. A nice bright pop of red helps balance the small and intricate detail. I paired this with a SpiegelMom Scraps cork heart and sequins!


Of course, I had to sprinkle some extra sequins in the top right. Although a simple layout, it helps document just a tiny bit of our decorating. I do plan on documenting more later in the album. The photo of my pup is framed in a Freckled Fawn wood veneer piece. I got this in a mystery bag event that they had. Beneath the frame I included two washi strips. The light gray washi tape is from Target and the gold and white washi tape is from Scotch. To the right of that, I used a Pretty Little Studio phrase cut apart piece.


I decorated this side with a cork heart from Spiegel Mom Scraps and some Echo Park enamel dots. If I had been thinking of it at the time. This layout would have looked really cool with some gold thread looped behind the layers.

The second page of this two page spread is much simpler since it has a larger photo. I matted the photo on a piece of Pinkfresh Studio paper for a light gray border. I created a small cluster in the bottom of right now only to balance out the opposite side, but also to put emphasis on the cute cat in the photo! The cluster uses a copper paper clip bow, wood veneer snowflake, enamel dots, and a label. The label is created from the Wild Whisper Home For The Holidays stamp set. There are so many cute phrases and two different label styles. They're the perfect size for pocket pages!

My front cover is very simple. The album itself came with a chevron texture which I thought didn't truly go with the theme, but used it anyway. I decorated the outside cover with a lot of chipboard pieces from Echo Park. I used a EK Success glitter sticker for the title of the album. I added the date to the front of the album using Pink Fresh Studio gold foil stickers. A simple album cover for my first "December Daily" album. Then, I began working on my cover page!


The cover page is actually not a traditional pocket page, but a file folder from Teresa Collins. It's a really unique item that is not included in mainstream scrapbooking collections. I really love how these file folders let the colors and textures really shine. You can actually feel the wood veneer and see the strings move. I find it much more interactive than a traditional pocket page album with sleeves.


On the cover of the file folder I used a white doily from Wilton and layered some Elle's Studio bits on top. The tag is from their Oh Joy bits and pieces and the rectangular quote is from one of their cut apart sheets. I looped some silver embroidery floss through the tag for some more movement.


I snuck in a little stamp under the right side of the doily. This stamp is from the Wild Whisper Home for the Holidays collection. I used an accidental combo of Colorbox Seattle Sky and Colorbox Lipstick Red. I also decorated the cover with various texture pieces.


Mainly, I used some wood veneer snowflakes from Recollections as well as some wood veneer hearts from my stash. I also used a variety of Echo Park enamel dots for some shine.

All of the papers used on these two pages are from the My Mind's Eye Sleigh Bells collection. It is an older collection, but some beautiful papers! I cut them to the appropriate pocket sixes for each section. As for the photos, many of you know that I always use the classic 4x6 photo printing size. Then, I trim many of those 4x6 photos down to 3x4 as well so everything works with the pocket page sizing.


For the large portrait oriented filler card, I used a festive pocket to make a journaling spot using a tag. The pocket is from the same line of the papers. To incorporate a little more glitz, I slipped a gold doily under the pocket. I used some Tim Holtz Seasonal word stickers for some additional detail.


This reindeer/deer head paper is one of my favorites from this collection. On this filler card which doubles as a journaling spot too. I used a green label from Elle's Studio, another Tim Holtz tiny word sticker, a Recollection heart tag, and a Studio Calico "morning" phrase die cut. This cluster adds a lot to the layout with all of the layering.


This is one of my absolute favorite cards on this page because of this adorable mini envelope! There is a little note card in there too which is so cute! I used black thread to add more texture, a sticker from My Mind's Eye, and some gold gems.


The main title is on the matching page, but for this page I decided to put the year in some large stickers. The combo of red, green, and kraft is a perfect color combo for Christmas layouts. Let's hop on to the other side of the layout!


This is what I would consider the main page to the double page layout. To match the other layout I of course used the same paper line. I used a different style page protector to add more interest across the pages. I try to either have an even amount of photos to fillers to give a balance when possible.


This filler card uses the same type of tag on the other page along with a sticker from October Afternoon and a flair badge from My Mind's Eye. The sticker I wanted to point out is actually a gift tag sticker that says to and from on it. I incorporated this by flipping it around to hide that little bit! A great tip to use some not so perfect items as well.


I really enjoyed making this little filler card as well. I used one of my classic doilies to add texture and on top of that to add even more interest, I used a gold-dipped canvas tag. The large green circular sticker is from the coordinating sticker sheet from My Mind's Eye. I bought all of these goodies from them in a bundle deal.
