VIDEO: "December Daily" Process Video // Inside File Folder Pages

November 25, 2017

Hello friends and welcome back! Now that Thanksgiving is officially out of the way, we can dive head first into Christmas! I know that I already started last week, but the more the merrier! Today I am sharing another collab project. This collab with Anna and I started two weeks ago when we shared our homemade kits. This is the second project process video from the series, so be sure to catch the other process video as well. If you're not quite in the Christmas mood, check out Anna's video where she has a more colorful kit

The process video that I am sharing today is for this fun double page spread. I started my "December Daily" album for 2016 with a really cool interactive file folder. This file folder is from Teresa Collins. The left side features a photo of my pouting pup and the right side features a photo of our adorable kitten under the Christmas tree. I hope you enjoy the process video! Stay for a little while after to browse the close up photos below!

I absolutely adore how this layout turned out. This color scheme is not one that I am used to, but I love it! The dusty rose is a fun color to work with for Christmas. The life side base starts with a white doily. After that, I layered a gold polka dotted tag from Recollections and a Wild Whisper Home For The Holidays pocket page card that says xoxo.

The photo of my pup is framed in a Freckled Fawn wood veneer piece. I got this in a mystery bag event that they had. Beneath the frame I included two washi strips. The light gray washi tape is from Target and the gold and white washi tape is from Scotch. To the right of that, I used a Pretty Little Studio phrase cut apart piece.

I decorated this side with a cork heart from Spiegel Mom Scraps and some Echo Park enamel dots. If I had been thinking of it at the time. This layout would have looked really cool with some gold thread looped behind the layers.

The second page of this two page spread is much simpler since it has a larger photo. I matted the photo on a piece of Pinkfresh Studio paper for a light gray border. I created a small cluster in the bottom of right now only to balance out the opposite side, but also to put emphasis on the cute cat in the photo! The cluster uses a copper paper clip bow, wood veneer snowflake, enamel dots, and a label. The label is created from the Wild Whisper Home For The Holidays stamp set. There are so many cute phrases and two different label styles. They're the perfect size for pocket pages!

This spread was so much fun to make! I hope you enjoyed my little sprinkle of "December Daily" as Christmas quickly approaches. Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to watch Anna's videos for our collab series.
