Welcome back friends! It is time...for another pick 5! For those of you who don't know much about pick 5, it was inspired by the lovely Adele's (from InkieQuill on YT) Grab 5 video series. You take 5 random things out of your stash and use them on a layout. Pretty plain and simple! Here's the cute layout I made with my pick 5!
The five things that I ended up picking were a 6x6 paper pad from Basic Grey's Wisteria collection, some Jolee's Boutique Paris confetti, a Recollections blue spray ink, a set of Recollections puffy cat stickers, and an Echo Park random star stencil. Now let's jump right into the process video!
I hope you enjoyed the process video of this layout and if you have any questions I would be happy to answer them! This was a fairly simple layout to make with a simple diagonal theme and minimal layering behind the photo. I really liked the contrast between the bolder black elements and the soft pastel blues and greens.
I came to the conclusion to only have the two cluster elements because I didn't want to overwhelm the photo. The watercolor splotches on the background paper give the rest of the layout enough interest without taking away from the photo. I do however wish I had added some more green water color to the bottom right corner. As you saw in my video, I only used the blue spray for that.
The little clusters on this layout really pack a punch. I think that this black with pastel color scheme was a fun change of pace for me. What unusual things are you trying lately? I hope you enjoyed this layout! Thank you so much for stopping by!
