DIY Decor // Valentine's Day Garland
February 05, 2015
Valentine's Day is in the air as stores start to really up the ante on sales on chocolates, stuffed animals, and flowers, but that's not all Valentine's Day is about! There's everything red, pink, and every shade in between. If it can be formed into a heart, you bet that they will sell it somewhere for Valentine's Day.
Instead of buying in to the cheapish looking decorations (although some of them are nice) try homemade (after all, everything is better with a little touch of home right?)! Today I have a cute and quirky little DIY garland for you!
This super simple and cute garland only uses a few inexpensive things you may already have around your house! You'll need felt, whatever colors you really want, scissors, string or thread, and a needle!
You can stay pure and sweet and do hearts like the one at the top, we added a little flair, by adding stitching (PS you can always draw it on!) or you can get really fancy by doing double cut outs!
Then you lay them out however you want and start stringing them on! You can make it however long you want and the hearts as big as you want!
And ta-da! We put them on our Christmas tree to keep the spirit alive (plus, we're never taking it down), and besides who says you can't decorate a Christmas tree for other seasons and holidays?!!?!
