VIDEO: Holiday Light Decor Ideas // Glitter, Snowflakes, & more!
December 05, 2015If it wasn't already obvious, I love Christmas! My favorite thing about Christmas (besides all of the giving) are all of the lights! I have lights up year round even though they aren't Christmas themed, but today I'm here to share how to add some extra Christmas jazz to your string of lights!
Before we jump into the projects please be sure to click here and check out all of my Vlogmas videos! If you're new to Vlogmas, basically it's uploading a vlog for every day of December (it's supposed to be Christmasy themed I think, but it's just a look into my daily life). So, click here to find out more! I surely hope you enjoy them, so far they've been fun to film and edit, but maybe some more exciting things will happen soon to make them a bit more interesting.
Our first project is for all of the glitter lovers out there. We are going to make some cute glittery snow balls! You'll need ping pong balls, glitter glue, paint, a paint brush, and glitter. I'll have a list of where you can find these products to purchase at the end of this post.
Basically we're just going to cover the ping pong ball in glitter to make it look like a glittery snowball. When you see these lit up on camera they are just gorgeous! If you're having trouble or are making a mess try putting your ping pong ball onto a pen or pencil so it's easier to work with.
Our next project idea is transforming these little ping pong balls into snowmen! You'll need markers for this DIY plus scissors and a ping pong ball.
Basically you'll just draw on the cutest snowman face you can think of then pop these over your strings of Christmas lights!
I hope you enjoyed these easy and inexpensive DIYs! It's just a nice way to spread holiday cheer without breaking the bank! Be sure to watch the process video below!
