A Walk with Comet // 12x12 Layout Share!

June 02, 2016

Happy Thursday pals! Today I have the first layout that I made since I've moved back home for the summer. I had soooo many boxes of happy mail waiting for me here and had to dive in! This particular layout features some newbies that I won/ordered from Elle's Studio, Freckled Fawn, and Blitsy. I also some oldies, but I bet you couldn't tell! Right now, I dare you to guess what the oldest thing on this layout is and put it in the comments! GO! Did you guess...? I hope so. I'll let you all know the answer in a little bit, but here's my layout.

I'm really proud of this layout for a few reasons. One, it's a photo of my puppy and he makes me happy. Two, this is an interesting color combo for me. I'm not one who likes lime green. Three, it turned out so well! I'm bashing my stash and having fun while doing it! Have I mentioned that I am attempting a spending freeze in June? We'll see how that goes. Anywho, as for some products. The teal woodgrain paper (which is the oldest thing on this layout - did you guess right?!) is from DCWV the Green Stack. Back in my youth (AKA middle school) when my mom said I could buy one paper stack, I chose this one. It has the cutest beaver in it! I so do not love all the papers now, but I sure can use them as borders ;). Do you like to use the papers you're not so in love with as borders?

The beautiful number paper is by KI Memories. Then, this cluster...oh me, oh my! I love how it turned out so much! The die cut pieces are from Elle's Studio, the little bit of glitter is actually an old Stickles, wood veneer is Studio Calico, twine is Make it Market, bicycle stamp from Stuido G stamped in Dark Brown Colorbox chalk ink, and the metal arrow is Michael's. The layers behind my photo are from Prima - Hello Spring, and Dear Lizzy - 5th and Frolic. Plus, that doily! I'm so glad I picked them up from Freckled Fawn on clearance!

My title for this layout is pretty basic because I'm literally on a walk with Comet, but I went with it. The aqua alphas are from EK Success and the baby white alphas are from Teresa Collins. This was my first ever project using the bicycle stamp and it is so cute!

This little cluster in the top left corner was fun to make. I took this tab from Elle's Studio and added a little bit of washi tape. Then, I took scraps from my photo layer papers and made a cute banner. The sequins are by Craft Medley!

Did you really think that I could only add one piece of wood veneer?! Of course I threw on this little star to add another natural element. I hope you all enjoyed this layout! Thank you so much for stopping by!
