VIDEO: Pocket Page Insert // Wonder Works #2 Insert Process

June 23, 2016

Welcome back to day 2 of the pocket page pandemonium that's happening here (say that five times fast)! If you're new here or you just missed out on the first page, you can see it right here! Today I am showing you the process of how I created this insert for this section. I show you both sides in one video, so fun! I hope you enjoy watching my process, even though I do get quite stumped at some points. Also, I do not have full overviews of the pages because of their off shape, so enjoy the overviews of each panel and enjoy!

I still do not understand how I messed up the sizes for all of these. I figured that they were 4x4 inch squares, but I seemed to have cut every picture and filler card wrong! Ugh! I still like the look of it, but it was frustrating at times.

For the first side of the pocket page I had two photos framing this filler card. We took some photos of the optical art section which was interesting. I left some room for journaling of course! The two cards are by We R Memory Keepers and they are from two different packs. The little camera wood veneer is by Studio Calico along with the word sticker. I thought it was a fitting word because it just reminded me of what fancy people might say at an art gallery. I also added a little bit of washi tape from the dollar store. I love thin washi tape so much more than regular sized washi!

On the flip side of my pocket page inset I have two filler cards and one photo. This side captures what we had for our lunch outing at the Cheesecake Factory. I am not a lover of cheesecake nor the restaurant after our experience, but wanted to document it anyway. So for the top filler card I found this adorable pie slice wood veneer tag and slapped that on to a We R Memory Keepers card. The tiniest letters are by Teresa Collins and the larger ones are from Oriental Trading. The little speck of blue you see is some washi tape from the dollar store. Then I used some of these recently purchased white dots from Jolee's Boutique.

Last, but not least for this blog post is this really fun filler card I created. Although my overall color scheme of the pocket pages for this event changed, I tried to keep similar components the same, like these blue and white dots and the stars. This filler is one of my favorites! The stamp is by Elle's Studio (so cute!), sequins are from Craft Medley, the stars from Heidi Swapp and the rub-on is from American Crafts! I hope you enjoyed this insert that I created! I'll be back one more time this week with my final pocket page! Thanks for stopping by, now tell me what was your favorite part of this page!
