VIDEO: Grab 5 Collab w/ Ally! // 12x12 Process Video

Hello crafty friends! Can you believe that we're already almost to Thanksgiving...just a couple more days! I am already in the holiday spirit frame of mind, but today, we're using a very bright and fun color scheme! I am doing a Grab 5 collab with Ally Scianna! We each sent a small package of five things to use together on a layout. You'll be able to see what she sent me in the process video, but it included some tiny cut apart cards, ribbon, tissue paper, cute puffy stickers, and some Studio Calico cardstock embellishments. I used the cut apart squares to dictate my color scheme. Luckily, I found this beautiful American Crafts paper in my stash. I really loved how the small squares matched so well! This photo is of myself with the school's mascot statue after my graduation ceremony. I thought the "You Go Girl" sentiment was appropriate for this occasion. Also, the graduation layouts aren't even closed to being complete. There are many, many more to come!
I layered my photo on a baby pink and gold foiled patterned paper from DCWV. This allows it to pop from the background just a little more. Next to the photo, I used three of the 2x2 squares that Ally sent me. I used teal, yellow, and pink to help balance the warm and cool tones. I layered a white doily behind them to help the colors pop too. I used a Studio Calico wood veneer bird and an American Crafts chipboard heart for some embellishing.
I used the Studio Calico embellishments Ally sent me as a background piece for this torn edge I made on the background paper. I made a cluster using a Pinkfresh Studio puffy sticker paired with Ally's cloud puffy stickers. I also used my Tim Holtz tiny attacher and a wood veneer heart for smaller details.
I used the pink tissue paper and twill ribbon as borders on the bottom of the page. I also used another American Crafts chipboard sticker paired with a different Studio Calico wood veneer bird. It's a bird heavy layout as you can tell. One final embellishment I added was a Elle's Studio sticker tab on my photo from the Cienna collection. I hope you enjoyed this project!
