Missing You is Ruff // Card Creations
April 27, 2017
I like to keep a lot of extra cards on hand for various occasions and realized that I was low on miss you cards, so I needed to change that! I decided to use a new to me stamp set from Mama Elephant. This is an adorable set that I picked up at Joann's that feature a lot of cute pups!
I decided to keep the card simple, but also fun to make. I did this by making my own patterned paper. These pinwheels were something that I picked up at Hobby Lobby because they were so cheap, I couldn't leave the deal behind! I decided to scatter a piece of kraft cardstock with these stickers as a starter. Then, I used the bone stamp from the Mama Elephant stamp set to add some more elements.
I then moved on to the centerpiece of this card. I stamped this adorable pooch with his bone on some cardstock. I then used my lovely watercolor pencils to lightly shade this puppy. I also added a shadow underneath to add more interest. I added four little gems to the corners to coordinate with his collar. I matted this piece with some black paper and then placed it on some foam to give it dimension.
Lastly, I stamped a sentiment from the same set using some black Staz-on ink. I cut this into a slim strip and then placed it at the bottom of the card. I hope you enjoyed this card! Thanks for stopping by!
