Cozy // 12x12 Layout Share - Christmas

I know, I know, it's only the beginning of October. Well, I've really been in a scrappy mood to document some Christmas memories. Today, I decided to start off the holiday season! I'm not talking just Christmas, I'm talking Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years! I hope you're all ready for some fun seasonal projects mixed in to my normal project schedule. If you all are excited for the holiday seasons, tag me in your most recent holiday project you've made on social media so I can check it out! Here's an overview of the fun layout.
I think that if I had to pick one word for the winter season it would be cozy. I love being wrapped up in blankets and being around family during the holiday time. This page was inspired by that feeling and these pictures don't exactly depict that, but the sentiment still rings true. These photos are of my cat on Christmas morning one year. I matted the photos on to some white cardstock and then come light blue cardstock.
My favorite portion of this layout is this lovely cluster around the title. It just came together so perfectly and I don't know how it happened, but it did. I love the variations in textures and colors. The little house wood veneer, the dainty doily, the felt cocoa sticker, and the foam alphabet stickers provide so much for the eye to take in. The background paper I used has a shimmer to it as well which adds another layer of interest. The little patterned banners you see peaking out there are both from DCWV.
Lastly, I created a small cluster to help balance the layout in the top right as well. I finally utilized my Martha Stewart around the page snowflake border punch for the first time in forever! I also added a Studio Calico wood veneer heart, a button, a snowflake sticker from Sticko, and a Tim Holtz tiny word sticker. I hope you all enjoyed the textural details of this layout. I think it would be fun to try and explore textures that mimic the theme of your page. For instance, the felt piece on this layout corresponds with the cozy theme. That's just a fun thought though.
