VIDEO: Happy Halloween Card // Card Creations

October 29, 2016

Welcome back friends! I hope you're all having a great weekend. Hopefully you all get to participate in some Halloween/Autumnal activities before this month is over! Today I am bringing you another Halloween card tutorial. This was a really fun card to make and it really helped put me in the Halloween spirit. So before Halloween rolls around, make some cute cards for your friends!

This super simple card has a lovely vintage feel that brings out the holiday spirit. It has a lot of layers, but it's really simple to put together. Let's jump into the tutorial!

This card took about 7 minutes to put together in total and if you wanted to mass produce cards like these it is easy to make all of the layers. This is also a great card that uses up that giant stack of Halloween paper you bought five years ago (or maybe that's just an issue I have). Anywho, let's dive into more details!

The patterned paper layers on this card are all from the DCWV Bewitched stack (which is quite old). The measurement for each layer are as follows (bottom to top order): 5 3/8" x 4 1/8", 5 1/4" x 4", and then the smallest black piece is 3" x 4".

Once the layers were cut, I pulled out embellishments! I loved this random October Afternoon miscellaneous embellishment kit that I got in a grab bag earlier this month. That is where I found this precious vintage die cut. I love how it's just the perfect size to fit on the card. I also pulled out from my stash this chipboard banner from Studio G. The bright purple really pops on the orange background.

Lastly, I added a few buttons from Michael's around the edges for more detail. You could also use brads, enamel dots, or jewels. Halloween cards are really fun to make. Although I don't make many, the ones I do make are always great! Do you make Halloween cards and send them out? Let me know! Thanks for stopping by!
