This layout is a lovely 4x4 photo of my kitten named Honey. We had finished eating dinner and came back to the kitchen to do all of the dishes and low and behold the cat had taken over the bread basket as her bed. It was a very comical site to see and couldn't wait to document it. This layout starts out with a wine/raspberry colored cardstock base and then I dive into some mixed media work!


I used this festive Echo Park stencil and some Heidi Swapp silver modeling paste to create a pattern. After that had dried, I used my Recollections silver ink spray to create droplets around the page. It adds interest and shine all around. I then worked on the layering around the photograph.


I used some papers from the DCWV Winter Mat Stack behind my photo. Besides the texture from the stenciling I did, I also used these Heidi Swapp transparent stars and a doily. I scattered the stars around the layout. On the bottom right of the photo I created a cluster with a chipboard tag from my stash, a thicker heart, some ribbon, and some Tim Holtz phrase stickers.


To balance out that cluster next to the photo I included a cluster in the top left corner. This cluster consists of some rub-ons from American Crafts, some silver pearls, and a phrase sticker from Simple Stories. It was a really fun layout to work on and I love this memory so much.
