Hello there crafty friends. Can you believe it is already October? Today I am sharing a card that I made for a special friend. I recently picked up a stamp set and I didn't think I would need to use it so soon. This stamp set is from Close To My Heart called Faithful Friend. A simple card with a kind sentiment for such a sad time.
I used 110lb white cardstock to create an A2 sized card base. I cut it to 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 5 1/2". Then, I started working on the background layer. I cut a piece of kraft cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4". Then, I use the small stamp set to create a pattern. I used Versamark and my stamping tool to get perfectly stamped images. I then sprinkled on my WOW! gold embossing powder and heat set it.
Once that was completed, I stamped a sentiment. I cut a strip of white cardstock to 1" x 4". This sentiment from the stamp set was stamped in Red Lipstick ink from Color Box. I glued the sentiment on to the background and then popped it up on some foam for dimension.
To complete the card, I used a coordinating stamp on the inside. I stamped it with Memento tuxedo black ink for a crisp image. I hope you enjoyed this card even though it has a sad purpose. Thanks for stopping by!
