Thankful // Card Creations
October 17, 2017
Hello there crafty people. As you know we've been celebrating the fall season here on the blog. Today, I am sharing a card that would be a nice gesture to send to someone during this time where we reflect on the people and things were grateful for. Let's dive right in to this simple card.
I started this card by creating a sturdy base. This is made out of 110 lb cardstock cut to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4" to create an A2 sized card. Then, I worked on the background. I used white cardstock, trimmed to 4" x 5 1/4". After looking through my green ink pads, I chose this leaf green color. I used a Close To My Heart stamp called Little Leaves. This is a square stamp, so I simple repeated the small pattern in a stair step pattern on the background. I used my stamping tool to help with the positioning.
Once the ink was dry, I moved on to the main elements. I pulled out some Pebbles die-cuts to make a little bouquet of flowers. I layered a simple sentiment on top to keep the card simple. This sentiment is from a paper pad from Craft Smith that I picked up from Michael's recently.
To complete this simple card, I used some clear cupped sequins from Darice. I used two sizes to create more interest. This card is a simple way to say thanks. I hope you take the chance during this autumnal season to thank people in your life. Thanks for stopping by!
