Crafty Goals Monthly Report // December 2017
December 31, 2017
Happy New Year folks! I hope 2017 was full of plenty of crafty time and good health and good fortune! Since 2017 is practically over, I mean it is the last day of the year, I figured it would be the perfect day to do the last monthly report. 2017 was full of more crafty time than I had originally imagined. I'm proud of the amount of projects I completed and the amount of content I produced. I hope you all felt that 2017 let you have your crafty time, if not, there's always 2018!
I just want to say that your goals may change during the course of the year. Mine certainly should have this year as there were some huge unexpected changes that occurred. It's important to give yourself time to reassess what your goals should be. Sometimes making new memories is more important than documenting. Be sure to let yourself have those spans of time to regenerate your crafty mojo. Now let us hop in to the final evaluation of my goals!
1. Organize and find a place for my photo albums
Like I have mentioned previously, some of my albums have homes which is a great start, but since my albums are split between my parent's house and my apartment, it's hard to try and find a home for all of them. I am looking forward to analyzing the larger picture of my goals for memory keeping.
2. Complete 2 travel albums
While I didn't get to finish two travel albums, I did finish one! I do have the intentions of continuing this goal into 2018 as well. I hope you are all looking forward to seeing more Disney layouts coming soon!
3. Follow at least two spending freezes
Ah yes, the spending freezes. Guys, I suck at sticking to spending freezes. I have no willpower! Luckily, I am joining a group with challenges to try and use up a bunch of stash through the month go January. Stay tuned for all of those great projects!
4. Create more cards and have an organizational system for them
This is probably the goal I was most successful at. So much that, I found I didn't have enough people to send cards to. I gave cards that I had made to my mother so she could send some out to her friends too. I'm really enjoying experimenting with new techniques on cards. It involves different types of creativity compared to scrapbooking (at least, I think it does). I'm not 100% sure how many cards I ended up creating, but it is more than I have made in a while.
Overall, I'm very content on how this year turned out creatively. I'm ready to jumpstart 2018 on a creative high since taking a short break from crafting while visiting family over the holidays. I wish you all a vey, very happy new year! Thanks for stopping by!
