Hello Rotunda - 12x12 Pocket Page Process // Episode R- Summer of Stories

August 01, 2019

Welcome back to my blog crafty people! I am sharing a 12x12 pocket page today for a new episode of Summer of Stories! We've made it all the way to letter R! Now I will say, although this is the last month of Summer of Stories projects, the fun will continue into the fall with a new project. Stay tuned for more details.

I had a lot of photos of the beautiful Capitol Building and decided to just throw them into pocket pages and call it a day. Although this is a rather simple layout, I do describe in the process video below the reasons why I kept it so simple. I really loved playing with colors here, even though it was on a small canvas.

You can watch with more details in the YouTube video above. I paired a lot of the smaller stickers from the Goldenrod collections from One Canoe Two to create my clusters. As you might have noticed, I only have two embellishment clusters. I really didn't want to over-embellish since the photos are quite busy.

I created a bottom left cluster to attempt to give the layout some balance and offer another journaling spot. I might end up writing on the back of each photo (with photo-safe markers) the details about each of the paintings. Let me know what you would do in the comments down below.

I really enjoyed this tour at the Capitol Building and really want to go back! These paintings were beautiful and I'm so glad they are now documented in my scrapbook. I hope you enjoyed!
