VIDEO: Using my Homemade Kit // Process Video #3 - Everyday Adorable
May 21, 2016Time seems to be absolutely flying by! There's nice weather in my neck of the woods, but I want to spend all my time inside crafting! The struggle is real! Don't worry though because I have just the ticket if your weather isn't the nicest. I'm sharing another process video with you all using my homemade kit. This is my third one so far and I'm really happy with the different looks I'm achieving with all of pages. Of course, I've been pulling in different bits and bobs from here and there, but I've mainly just stuck to the kit! I hope your kit making is going well too. Here is the overview of my layout.
This layout is a breath of fresh air to me because of all the white space! I love how fresh and light it feels. Plus, the color scheme makes me so very happy. Yellow and blue were meant to be together. I hope you enjoy my process video and I'll have some close up pictures down below!
I have never done a grid type layout before, but I love the way this one turned out! I may end up doing it more often, plus it is a great way to use up some Project Life cards. All of the PL cards I used are from the Happy Edition Core Kit.
I used embellishments from Michael's (buttons), flower die-cuts (from Studio 112), stickers from the dollar store (hearts), and a die-cut from Dear Lizzy. I also stamped a little bit using one of the Heidi Swapp stamps.
One of my favorite parts of this layout is the title. I put down a fun base coat of yellow to add a pop behind the photo and title. The title is made out of a stamp by Heidi Swapp and some Prima white letter stickers. To finish off the layout I used some of the butter colored Heidi Swapp Color Shine to add a few drops of yellow. I hope you all enjoyed and thank you so much for watching!!
