Ice Cream Social // 12x12 Layout Share
June 07, 2016
I'm back at it sharing more layouts! But if you're becoming bored of these one photo wonders, don't worry, I'll have some cards and other things coming to the blog soon. Today's layout is another interesting color scheme for me. I'm really not a huge pink person in real life, but man is this layout pink!
As I previously mentioned in this blogpost, I was having a tough time creating layouts and putting my journaling on the pages. Isn't that the whole point of scrapbooking?! I think I have finally fell in love with journaling and it wasn't so bad! I actually had fun reminiscing and writing about our adventure to get ice cream. It might be short, but some of the every day stories are the ones we may forget. It's important to capture them :).
The background paper for this layout is by Studio Calico called Notches. Then, I used some tissue paper and some Prima polka dot paper to mat my photo. My title is made out of two alphas, the red glitter by Heidi Swapp and the white glitter by Heidi Grace Designs. This adorable little banner is a rub-on by American Crafts.
I used some fun sequins by Craft Medley to add a little more glitz to the layout. This sweet die cut is by Elle's Studio and I love it! To create my journaling lines, I just used a little ruler and attempted to make them evenly spaced.
The final pieces of this layout consist of this cluster which uses another Elle's Studio die-cut, the rub-on, the sequins, and some washi tape by Jot. Then, next to the title is a fun little chipboard frame by Studio G and I filled it with a felt flower by Sweet Little Makers. Overall, I'm happy with how quickly this layout came together and how I actually planned it out with the journaling in mind! Where do you guys start your layouts? With a story, photo, paper, other things? Let me know. Thanks for stopping by!
