VIDEO: Using my Homemade Kit // Hello Spring - Process Video #5!
June 16, 2016
A video in the middle of the week?! What is this?! I've had a lot of time on my hands this summer so I am bringing you all so many more videos! Today, I will be featuring another layout made with my homemade kit. Here's an overview.
This layout was not meant to become a mixed media layout, but somehow my hands got messy and I used my paints and pastes. I'm very happy with the outcome of this layout because at the start I had no idea what my plan was! Enjoy the process video!
The two beautiful photos on the layout were taken by yours truly. We love all of the butterflies that come to visit our garden. This year we're actually making a butterfly feeder for them! These particular butterflies are swallowtails. I just adore how beautiful they are.
This wood veneer title is from Michael's and I have been dying to use it on a layout. It's just so cute! I upped the femininity by adding a doily behind it. I barely used any paper on this layout and I'm not sure why. I just hate the idea of cutting up large sheets on 12x12 paper, especially when I have so many 6x6 pads around.
This embellishment cluster was my favorite because of this darling banner from Basic Grey I finally got to use. I still can't believe that they went out of business. :(. The gold foil stickers are from Heidi Swapp.
I am not entirely sure what happened in this top left cluster, but it's definitely not my favorite. The yellow of this word is just a tiny bit off, but I can live with it. Then, I am so bad at stamping roller stamps! Why is it so hard for me?!?!
Overall, I'm happy with how this layout turned out and it definitely screams spring. Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel for more videos like the one in this post and tell me what you think of using minimal papers on a layout! Thanks for stopping by!
