3 Months, 3 Roses // 12x12 Layout Share
October 11, 2016
Hello friends! Welcome back for another layout share. A while back I mentioned that I would be participating in an online crop for The Young Scrappers FB group and today I'm sharing with you one of the layouts I made that day! This is a simple layout featuring one photo, but it's still stunning. I chose to go with pinks instead of reds because I wanted the photo of the roses to pop more. Now let's jump into the details!
This photo is from when my boyfriend, Sam, gave me three roses on our three months. I like the small title for the same reason I picked pinks for the layout, it doesn't take away from the photo. The glitter 3 is from the Thickers in the Fitzgerald style and the tiny block letters are Teresa Collins. As for the paper pieces on this layout, I mostly used Pebbles' Yours Truly 6x6 paper pad.
I wanted to add some more textures to this layout, so I pulled out my Heidi Swapp dot stencil and some modeling paste and added a few bits. I also slipped a doily under the photo. This "love ticket" piece is from the 6x6 paper pad and I think it is so cute! The wood veneer banner beneath that is from American Crafts.
I added a small cluster in the top right to balance out the heaviness of the photo and it's embellishments on the left of the page. This cluster includes some Freckled Fawn washi tape, a acetate circle from Project Life, a tiny word sticker from Tim Holtz, and some punched out bits from the Pebbles paper pad.
Lastly, I wanted to add a little bit more teal into the layout and this bow was the perfect fit. It is also from American Crafts. I sprinkled in a few more embellishments as in the other clusters and I also incorporated some Stickles onto a layout! I know, who thought I would ever use Stickles again?!
Overall, I think this simple layout captured the loveliness that I felt that day that I received those roses. Do you ever document gifts that you've received? I liked how I could use these Valentine's day themed products on a different type of page (although love is still the theme). I hope you enjoyed this layout! Thanks for stopping by!
