Wow // 12x12 Layout Share

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today is another simple layout share here on the blog. This one used up some very old supplies, but a simple blueprint. This layout features one photo of my little kitten named Honey. She was so tiny back when this photo was taken!
The background paper of this layout is from The Paper Studio circa 2009. I know, it's old and I am so glad to finally have found a home for it! I used a piece of patterned paper from the Crate Paper Notes & Things collection to add the file folder layer behind my photo and for the base of the top left cluster. I love using papers like this one and cutting them up into pieces!
I really wanted a simple title for this page since the photo was so pronounced against the soft colors of the layout. The word "wow" came to mind when I noticed that this set of alphabet stickers didn't have a whole ton of vowels left. Simple titles can use up those letters!
I needed a journaling spot on this simple layout and when I saw this simple card from Elle's Studio, I knew it was the one. I decided to dress it up a little bit more so I added a few elements. The vellum arrow is from Studio Calico, the little heart die cut is from Pretty Little Studio, and the gem is from Recollections.
The tab that I mentioned before is from Crate Paper and I thought this was a great base for a cluster to help balance the layout. I also added this really elegant vellum bow from DCWV Mini Album paper stack. It adds more dimension while still being light.
In this last corner, I decided to add a few more elements to bring in more of the pinks. The large butterfly is a dimensional piece from Recollections and it adds another layer of dimension to the piece. I then used this really old ornate flourish sticker to add more to the cluster. Lastly, I added a Pretty Little Studio date label and a Recollections cat puffy sticker. This was a simple layout for such a stunning photo.
