DIY Couples Costume Idea // Day & Night

October 27, 2015

Halloween has finally crept up on us (well almost)! Although I doubt it crept up on you because I only post about it every two days! Haha! Anyway, today I have another Halloween post. A super easy DIY couple or friend costume!

My boyfriend and I rocked these looks for a volunteering event at the local zoo. This simple costume only needs a few inexpensive supplies. You'll need paper, paint, glitter (optional), scissors, cotton balls, tape, and a hot glue gun (and a few pieces of clothing from your closet).

To start off you'll want to paint your paper that you'll be cutting your stars out of. You can use glitter paper if you have some instead. I use gold metallic paint mixed with some gold glitter to give texture.

I traced some stars of varying sizes and cut them all out! Then you'll just take some tape and stick them onto your all black ensemble. If you don't have glitter moon and star tights like I do, then be sure to make yourself a moon too!

For our day outfit you'll start by cutting some cloud shapes from some printer paper. Then you'll "fluff" the cotton balls by pulling them apart a little bit, then use your hot glue gun to fill up your clouds. For an extra touch, cut out a bright yellow sun!

Just attach these to a light blue shirt and ta-da! Here's a picture of me in my completed outfit!

I hope you enjoyed this DIY couples costume! Thanks for stopping by!
