These cards are the traditional A2 size at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" made out of white cardstock. My background paper is from DCWV's Halloween stack which is a couple of years old. Still working on this dang paper stack! This is one of my biggest purchase regrets currently, but I am getting through it, piece by piece.


I used some chipboard pieces from Studio G as a center point and used a white doily from Recollections to create a flat base. The sentiment on the front of the card is from a new stamp set that I picked up from Michael's the other night when they were 60% off. I stamped all of my sentiments in Memento black ink.


The inside of the first card uses the same stamp set as the front. I love how I can mix and match these banner pieces to make a fun sentiment! I also stamped a tiny little pumpkin at the top of this inside.


This card has a lot of different elements. The sentiment is from an old Studio G sticker set, the washi tape is from Recollections, the glitter bat is from EK Success, and the witch's hat is from October Afternoon. This is a great way to use larger or leftover die cut pieces in your stash.

The patterned paper layers on this card are all from the DCWV Bewitched stack (which is quite old). The measurement for each layer are as follows (bottom to top order): 5 3/8" x 4 1/8", 5 1/4" x 4", and then the smallest black piece is 3" x 4".  


Once the layers were cut, I pulled out embellishments! I loved this random October Afternoon miscellaneous embellishment kit that I got in a grab bag earlier this month. That is where I found this precious vintage die cut. I love how it's just the perfect size to fit on the card. I also pulled out from my stash this chipboard banner from Studio G. The bright purple really pops on the orange background.


Lastly, I added a few buttons from Michael's around the edges for more detail. You could also use brads, enamel dots, or jewels. Halloween cards are really fun to make. The first piece of inspiration for all of your Halloween crafts are these fun little 4x4 inch cards. I'll be giving these to my roommates for a little bit of Halloween spirit. They are all made out of a 8" x 4" heavy cardstock sheet that is scored at 4".



The gray cardstock on each card is cut to 3 3/4" x 3 3/4". Before starting any portion of the card, I grab my watercolor set and wet the black pan very well. Once you have a small brush with black paint on it, flick it onto the gray cardstock background. You'll want to make sure the area is clear for any rogue splatters. To get more "splats" than "spots" get closer to the paper and flick the brush harder. Let all of those pieces dry to the side.


While you're waiting for those to dry, we need to find pieces to make the focal point of the cards! In all of these examples, I use some reallllllllly old American Crafts remarks Halloween stickers. Since some of them seemed to blend in to the background, I grabbed a piece of this bright orange/yellow paper and used my 2" circle punch. Then, to make it all stand out even more, I used some foam adhesive squares.


Since our splatters are now dry, we can start assembling! Once you have every one of your paper pieces in place, we'll want to pick out which sequins or gems you'll want to decorate your card with. For this project, I used black sequins from Darice and some orange ones from Kat Scrapiness in the Tutti Fruti Mix.


All of these cards have a diagonal visual line across them. I like to do this because it helps add somewhere for the eye to go. If it was just the center piece it wouldn't be as fluid, but still just as pretty. Now that the cards are all done, let's move on to the tag pieces!


These tags are pre-cut white tags by 7 Gypsies. They are the perfect size to go along with the boxes you'll see later in this post! I did the same technique on these as I have on the cards. First things first, we'll want to get the splatters out of the way. Same technique on these with the different splats and drops. Once they are dry, we can decorate! I wanted to create a base, so I used black washi tape from Ikea and then a border strip that says "boo" from DCWV's The Bewitched Stack.




These beautiful boxes were made using a simple tutorial. Each box will use one 12" x 12" piece of paper and one 6" x 6" piece of paper. For the bottom of the box, you will score it on all side at the 3" and 6" mark. This will give you 9 boxes in total. You'll want to cut four of those lines in towards the center (but only to the length of one square). All lines should be parallel to each other. Check out a video tutorial if you're confused. Then, the same thing for the smaller bozes, except you'll only need to make 4 score lines at the 15/16" line on each side. Once it's all glued  together, you're done!

I included one large cluster on this layout and then two smaller ones. I based my placement of these clusters off of where I put my stenciled medium. I used a Heidi Swapp dot stencil to add even more texture to the layout. My right sided cluster is made up of some glitter stickers from Jolee's Boutique, a skull dimensional sticker from Jolee's Boutique, some Tim Holtz occasion tiny word stickers, some teal twine, some square black gems, and a chipboard star from Studio G. This is a very busy cluster and this is why my other clusters are a lot smaller than this one.


This smaller cluster in the upper left was mainly put here just to hold the date of the photo. I laid down a piece of orange washi tape from Jot to be a base for the Teresa Collins stickers on top of it. I wanted a little more in to the top cluster and so I included another glitter sticker from Jolee's Boutique, an orange gem, and some more of the black square gems. In this photo you can also see some of the splatters I included using October Afternoon Sprinklers in the color Comets Tail.


The title of this layout starts off using the same font stickers as the date which are from Teresa Collins. Then, I used this giant "boo" sticker from Studio G to complete it. Our first project is a quick and easy party decor printable that will make all of your friends think you put a lot of work in (when you really didn't)! I'm a huge fan of canva.com and when I logged in the other day they had soooo many cute graphics for Halloween! You're more than willing to use one of their free pre-made designs or you can customize your own just as easily. For those of you who may not know, Canva is a website (comparable to PicMonkey) where you can use graphics and texts to design your own pieces for social media, personal use, or whatever you can dream of! There are options that cost money though, so just pay attention and stick to the free ones ;).



Here's what I made using canva. You'll see these sort of labels in stores for up to $6! Making your own funny warning labels of vampire fangs, bat wings, and more to match what you're serving at your party.



The next project I want to share with you is this trio of 3" x 3" cutesy Halloween cards. These would be perfect on a cute little Halloween treat for a co-worker or a friend, whatever you're giving, add this cute and easy card to put it over the top!



My favorite part of this entire project was finally being able to get to use my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher (eek!)! To start off this adorable trio you'll want some Halloween paper and stamps! Mine feature some kraft cardstock, DCWV Bewitched stack, some foam adhesive, and some washi tape for extra flare.


In order to make a 3x3 card you'll need to cut your cardstock to 3" x 6" then fold it in half. After you have your base ready, your creative opportunities are endless. I used a combo of stamps and paper to create some backgrounds and focal points. I used foam adhesive to accent the little pieces I cut out of the paper that said cute things. This is the perfect way to use those weird papers with all the block pieces!


Next, along the same lines as the cards, I've made some easy DIY place cards for your Halloween dinner party. Wouldn't a murder mystery party on Halloween be so much fun?! I've always wanted to do one.



You can make these as big or as small as you want. I'm actually using mine for place cards for the different types of food. I added stitching details with a marker (make sure you're using a ruler to keep your line straight!).

Last, but certainly not least, I'm sharing with you two different party favor box ideas! They both have the same base, but they are slight variations depending on what you're using them for.



My first tip is to use double sided paper, but also make sure it doesn't have a certain orientation (like portrait or landscape because it's easy to mess it up) this will give the inside of your favor box a little pop without doing any more work!


For the kids, I created a really cute vampire gift box idea! Using this tutorial I made the black box, then added my own little twist. I measured the box and cut out a 1/4" inch strip the width I needed. Then, I cut out jagged teeth for my little vampire. Attaching the googly eyes is the final step (for a more silly look, choose two different sized eyes)!


My alternative box features some cute stamps that I really wanted to use. I stamped them then fussy cut them out and attached them with foam adhesive to the lid of the box. I added a little bit of bling for another dimension of texture.

Halloween has finally crept up on us (well almost)! Although I doubt it crept up on you because I only post about it every two days! Haha! Anyway, today I have another Halloween post. A super easy DIY couple or friend costume!

My boyfriend and I rocked these looks for a volunteering event at the local zoo. This simple costume only needs a few inexpensive supplies. You'll need paper, paint, glitter (optional), scissors, cotton balls, tape, and a hot glue gun (and a few pieces of clothing from your closet).

Today, I'm bringing you three really fun ideas on how you can use your strands of Christmas lights to decorate for Halloween! You can do all of the ideas for less than $5, super simple and super easy. Let's jump right into it!
