VIDEO: Using my Homemade Kit // Simple Love Process Video #4!

May 28, 2016

Hi scrappy friends! It's Saturday which means a new video!! I'm sharing another process video using my homemade kit. This is my fourth layout process video using this kit. This layout mainly uses stickers and die cuts to create fun clusters. I hope you enjoy!

All of the gold doesn't show up well in the photos, but hopefully you can see it better during the video.

I fell in love with the Shimelle die-cut flowers and I had been avoiding using them. I'm glad I put them in this kit so they got put down on paper!

I think that I may have gone a little bit too crazy with the gold Heidi Swapp Color Shine, but it adds a nice touch of glitz to the layout. I really want to try experimenting with chunkier glitters on layouts. Do you guys use glitter at all on your layouts?

As I had explained in the video, I had a really hard time coming up with a title for this layout. It was a photo that showed Sam and I in our everyday lives. Nothing fancy, nothing special just pure, simple happiness. Then, when I saw the Heidi Swapp sticker pack this one sticker jumped out at me, "Simple Love". It was perfect. I often find that when struggling for a title, something miraculous seems to always happen.

What kind of layout would this be if there wasn't a doily?! So of course, I had to use one. I just love how it gives a layout a circular element, but also a dainty element. That's all for today's layout, I hope you all enjoyed! Thank you so much for stopping by and be sure to leave me a comment with what you think!
