This is a photo that I took of my boyfriend and my cat (Honey) while they were cuddling on my bed. I drew inspiration from this photo to pick the colors of the layout. The background paper is from one of the new DCWV stacks. Once I had my background selected, I started to pull out some papers to layer behind my photo. I ended up selecting some cute My Mind's Eye patterns from a 6x6 and some purple cardstock.


I also grabbed two washi tapes to add some layers behind my photo. The purple one is from Joann's and the green one is from Michael's. This top note shape that holds the title is actually a scrap I had die-cut for a different project. I decided that this would be the perfect spot for my title to rest. I sprinkled some more embellishments around, but realized that this layout needed more dimension, so I popped up half the title on to foam adhesive.


I used this top left cluster to balance out the bottom right. I incorporated similar elements such as the wood veneer, the same colored cardstocks, the same dimensional pieces. I used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch to add some butterflies to my layout. The polka dot circle there is actually a cupcake pick (meant to go on a cupcake) that I picked up at Joann's. I used some green cardstock to die-cut this leaf from Sizzix (I love this die).



The tab that I wrote the date on is from Jillibean soup. I did all of my writing with a silver gel pen from the dollar store. Yes, the dollar store! It worked wonderfully.
