VIDEO: Double Pocket Page Layout // A Reason to Celebrate

August 02, 2016

Woah! A double pocket page layout?! Heck yes! I hope you all enjoy this very simple double page layout. As you can see this is another layout without a title or journaling. The main problem was we couldn't figure out which birthday this was! So, I had to scour the computer to figure it out, but now I have a title and such ready! Here's the first page!

So, as I said before, this is a very simple double page layout. All of the cards are from a We R Memory Keepers pack of Albums Made Easy card collection. Here's the process video!

I hope you enjoyed the process. Now we'll dive into more details and product info!

I think that whenever I do a pocket page spread there is always one card that is my favorite. This card is probably that one on this layout! I just love how I combined so many different types of elements to make this card work for my page. Some of the elements include a diecut from Chatter Box, dimensional stickers from K & Company, chipboard tabs from Heidi Grace, and a rub-on from American Crafts!

I really wanted to get some of these themed cards used, so this was the perfect way to do so! Plus, pre-made cards are perfect for titles! On this one I used a bit of washi to dress it up and an enamel dot.

Now for the second side of the spread, I had a few more pictures, so I went with this style of pocket page. It's perfect for all of my 4x6 photos. Since most of my photos weren't the cheeriest of colors, I tried to balance them with the fun colorful cards I had selected. A great thing about using cards from the same selection is that they all coordinate wonderfully! Don't get me wrong though, I love mixing and matching up my cards!

I wanted to make sure that both sides of the layout felt balanced. It was hard due to the stark contrast between my photos and the elements I chose. I think that lightly embellishing my filler cards was key to making the entire layout feel lighter.

If you have any questions about this layout I would be happy to answer them! Thank you for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed!
