Hello There Sunshine // 12x12 Layout Share

September 06, 2016

Hello friends! Today I have another gun layout to share with you featuring my pup! I had taken these photos on my DSLR while I was outside with Comet on a little walk. He looked so photogenic in the shade of a tree one late afternoon. I decided to cut down my 4x6 photos both to 4x4. I've really liked the look of square photos on my layouts.

Since the background of the photos are predominantly green (from the grass) I decided that I wanted less color on this layout than usual in order for the photos to pop on the page. While flipping through my paper stacks, I found this beautiful gold foiled arrow paper from DCWV. This is the first gold foiled paper that I've ever used and I love it! (It's also very, very hard to photograph).

I backed one photo with some white cardstock and the other with some cute bumble bee paper from Pebbles Garden Party and raised it on fun foam. I also managed to sneak a doily onto this layout! The cluster on the left side of the photos contains a fun butterfly ombre tag from Michael's, a chipboard heart from BoBunny Modern Miss, a tiny word sticker from Simple Stories Carpe Diem, and some white enamel dots from Paper Studio.

The right hand cluster of the layout contains a lot of little bits. I started this cluster by pulling out this flair piece from Becky Higgins Project Life Kiwi Collection, which inspired most of the color scheme of this layout. Then, I added a fun October Afternoon blue label sticker and a green polka dot arrow from Fancy Pants Office Suite collection. To finish off this cluster, I dove back into my tiny word sticker stash and pulled out two more. The top one is from Seven Paper's dog themed pack and the bottom sticker is from Tim Holt'z tiny talk sticker pack. I also decided to add more of the white enamel dots and a yellow butterfly die cut from Jillibean Soup.

The title for this layout is also from the Jillibean die cut set! That pretty much sums up this layout. I also managed to sneak in one last sticker just under the bottom side of the photos to bring in a little bit more green. The border sticker is from the Crate Paper Story Teller collection.I hope you enjoyed this layout!
