Looking Rather Puzzled // 12x12 Layout Share

September 08, 2016

Hello and welcome back to another layout share! Today, I'm doing another fun layout using a kraft and red theme. One of my favorite and go to designs for a layout is using one 4x6 photo and then one 3x4 card next to it. In this case, I jazzed up my usual design by putting an actual title on the page besides what the card says.

I started this layout with a piece of Basic Grey patterned paper from their Fact & Fiction line. Then, I used some kraft cardstock to divide up the busy pattern. To make the seam between those two papers less abrupt and awkward, I added a border sticker from the Teresa Collins Hello My Name is collection. The photo on this layout is a photo of one of my cats, Honey, laying on top of a puzzle we were trying to complete. We then decided it would be an amazing idea to see how many puzzle pieces we could put on her before she got annoyed. This picture proves that she didn't get annoyed very easily at all.

I made an itsy bitsy little cluster in the bottom left hand corner just because it needed a little something down there. I ended up just grabbing this cute little chipboard button from the same Teresa Collins line. Then, I slipped this Pretty Little Studio feather sticker under the side of it. This little cluster helps balance out what's going on the top and the right side of the layout.

Now, up by the photo itself, you can see that I did some heavy clustering. This cluster in particular consists of a white tab, a black TC sticker, a Studio Calico wood veneer heart, a KI Memories red paper clip, and a white enamel dot. Also peaking out in this photo is the vintage floral paper I used to mat my photo.

The cluster to the left of the photo starts with this fun journaling card also from TC. I built off of this card by incorporating some Freckled Fawn washi tape, another paper clip, and some more enamel dots. I also snuck in a few brads on this layout. The first half of my title is made from some K&Company block letters and the second half is made from some Target dollar spot alphabet stickers. I hope you enjoyed this Teresa Collins heavy layout. It was fun to work with this collection! Thanks for stopping by!
