VIDEO: Scrap Stash Roulette Hop! // 12x12 Layout - You Make Me Smile

Hello friends! Today I am taking part in a fun challenge/hop! Myself and a lovely group of ladies have decided to do a scrap stash roulette! Basically, there's a random drawing of items and then we're challenged to use just those items (with a few exceptions). For this round, the random drawing yielded vellum, ephemera, ribbon, flair, and a roller phrase stamp! These were great picks and I was so excited to dive in! This combo of yellow, blue, and green is one of my go-to's! These colors always bring me back for more. I hope you enjoy my process video for this fun challenge!
These types of challenges are super fun because they challenge you to use your stash in a different way. I hope you try this sort of challenge yourself sometime soon! It can also be useful when you aren't feeling inspired at the moment.
One of my favorite parts about this challenge was the fact that we had to use vellum. I rarely use vellum (which is why I don't have much of it), but it's so fun to incorporate sometimes! It adds a unique texture and appearance to any layout.
Another thing I really loved about this particular challenge was being challenged to use ribbon. Let's be completely honest, I'm a ribbon hoarder. I have a serious problem. To help combat this problem, I decided to try to use ribbon in a few different ways on this layout. I'm so happy with how the ribbon reinforces the visual triangle as well.
