VIDEO: Project Life Dual Layout Share // Great Views

February 27, 2016

Happy weekend friends! I'm coming to you today with another video, but this time featuring a Project Life double spread! I must apologize in advance because as you've probably noticed, my photos are lack luster and I'm really working on getting better lighting for photos and videos, so stayed tuned. Let's jump right into the layout share video and then I'll dive into the details about each section in text, just in case you'd rather read than listen to me ramble!

Feel free to subscribe to my YouTube channel for more videos!

Here's the first half of the layout. All of the cards on this side are from the Becky Higgins Core Kit in the Happy Edition. Oh, and by the way, all of the products that I can find online for purchase will be down below! These photos are of my boyfriend and I when we traveled to Niagara FAlls (US side) for my birthday! It was a hot July day, but we saw and did so much. If you haven't seen my first PL spread share from the same trip, check it out here

The title card for this page I decided to name Great Views because I was in awe of how Mother Nature sculpted the beautiful falls. I strongly encourage everyone close by to go visit, you won't regret it! The title is created from some K & Company gray letter stickers and they are sitting above a piece of gray chevron by My Minds Eye. This little backpack ephemera piece is by a company called Momenta. I picked up that sticker pack at Big Lots in case you were wondering.

This next card will eventually, maybe, have journaling on it, but it was really fun to make. (Although, maybe if I could take a decent picture, half of it wouldn't be out of focus, sorry guys!) The ticket piece is from an Amy Tangerine pack and I've clustered it with some Heidi Swapp gold foil and little word stickers. Then the little kraft cardstock butterfly is from a Martha Stewart punch and the gems are from my stash.

For the other half of this double layout I decided to tackle a four pocket, pocket page. Each pocket measures 6x6, so I pulled out various paperp pads for this one. The top left (blue polka dot) is by My Mind's Eye, the upper right (plain blue) is by My Mind's Eye, and then the bottom two are both from the Crate Paper Notes & Things collection (which I just picked up and love!).

To go in depth we'll start with the bottom right section which is my favorite on this layout! This cluster came together so naturally! The three die cut pieces (the note card, ticket, and leaf) are all from the Amy Tangerine set. The butterflies are again from a Martha Stewart punch, the blue and white baker's twine is from Michael's, the cork sticker and blue and yellow sticker are from Oriental Trading and then the little flag is from the Basic Grey Fact & Fiction collection.

This cute little cluster is made up of two die cuts by K&Company and then some tiny word stickers from Heidi Swapp. You may also notice that there is a small patterned piece of paper around the photo and that paper is from My Mind's Eye as well.

Now, for the final in-depth section  I'm going to get into. This square boggled me for a little bit, but I finally came up with something that I was happy with. I cut two strips of paper a kraft strip and then a strip from the 5th & Frolic line by Dear Lizzy and layered them together. I added extra flair by using an EK Success border punch on it. Then, to create another possible journaling spot, I layered two PL cards from the Happy Edition together (but trimmed the white one down and rerounded the corners). Then finished it all of with another sticker from the Momenta sticker set and a Marthat Stewart butterfly! I hope you all enjoyed this rather lengthy post! Thank you so much for stopping by!
