Christmas Time is Here // Classic Card

November 24, 2015

Happy Tuesday everyone! As everyone is *trying* to finish their Christmas cards, I have maybe four done. Even though I don't have that many to make I still feel a little bit behind. Anyway, here's the card!

A typical 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" white cardstock base gives us a clean foundation. The patterned papers are from the DCWV Winter Stack. The green polka dot is cut to measure 5 1/4" x 4". The next layer. the red foliage, is cut to 2 1/2" by 3 1/4".

I had a blast stamping this one. I used two different stamps and even tried some masking for the first time! The ornament stamp and the bow swags are both from the Recollections Christmas stamp set that I got in my latest haul from Michael's. I'll link it below if I can find it online. So, the ornament stamp set is originally just the three middle bulbs. I wanted it to be longer and line up with the bows, so I used some post its to mask the parts I didn't want stamped.

I started by stamping the bows first, then began lining up where I wanted the ornaments to hang. After everything was stamped, I colored in the ornaments and bows just using some colored pencils.

The sentiment is also from the Recollections set just stamped in Color Box black ink. This gorgeous border punch is by EK Success. If I can find the name of it I'll be sure to post it at the bottom with a link for where you can buy it! I am obsessed with this twine, it just screams Christmas to me. (I hope you like it, or you might easily get sick of my next upcoming projects)!

Then ta-da! Another Christmas card is completed! I hope you enjoyed this classic take on spreading Christmas and holiday joy! Thanks for stopping by!
