Less Monday More Summer - 12x12 Layout Process // Episode S - Summer of Stories

August 06, 2019

Hey there crafty people! Welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing Episode S of Summer of Stories! Now this one could stand for a lot of things like summer, sunshine, swimming, etc., but it stands for Seabreeze! This was a local theme park when I lived in Upstate New York. I know several of you will be excited to finally see me scrap a summer photo for the Summer of Stories series!

I used 1 - 4x6 photo and 1 - 3x4 photo which is a common set of sizes for most scrapbookers. I don't often get the chance to work with 3x4s, but I got one printed and I definitely love this size! I am seriously considering getting an at-home photo printer and would love your recommendations. Pleae, leave me a comment down below with what printer you love! Enjoy the process video below that shows all of the details and mistakes that I make on this page.

As you now know, I did a little bit of mixed media on this page and I sort of hate it, but it still works fine in the end. I'm fine with it not being perfect. I might go back and add something that matches that metallic teal to help make the layout come together.

Since I don't have embellishments that match this collection, I decided to make some more of my own. I used some stamps to create some corresponding embellishments! Simply stamp and cut out for it to work! If I had a shade of blue ink to match this I would have used that instead of the black.

Another fun thing I did on this layout is layer three doilies! This helps give the vibe of the layers of the ocean and just a fun organic shape. This is another one of those accidental monochromatic layouts, but I always enjoy those.

While the clusters are simple, they still add a lot to the page. I hope you enjoyed this page and enjoy the free printable below! Thanks for stopping by!
