Zzz - 12x12 Layout Process Video // Episode Z - Summer of Stories

August 29, 2019

Today is the last episode of Summer of Stories 2019! I hope you guys have really enjoyed all of the episodes and printables for this series. It has been so fun getting to document so many topics and have an ongoing challenge with you all. While this series is ending, another one will be beginning soon! Let's dive into our last episode.

This page uses a bunch of things from my How To Kill a Kit with Style homemade kit. I pair One Canoe Two Goldenrod and Heidi Swapp Emerson Lane papers to create a great set of photo layers. I also used two 6x6 papers to create the striped band across the middle of the background. In the video below I discuss all of my thought processes on this design!

I think the simplicity of this layout stems from the simple color scheme. I selected a few colors to use as the basis for this page. I also think this helps the photo pop! I used some plant die cuts from One Canoe Two to help create some clusters. I mainly picked these for their color match to the papers, not so much for theming. I used smaller stickers to help give the clusters more color and interest.

Again, I really hope you enjoyed this series and all of the 52 projects I shared these last three months! I've completed several projects thanks to the motivation of this project. I have some more exciting things coming so stay tuned!
