VIDEO: Graduation Chipboard Mini Album Process // Pages 3 & 4

February 06, 2018

Welcome back friends! It's the second day of my mini album process video share! If you missed the first day you can check it out here! I'll be sharing the rest of the layouts for this entire album all week long! Today, I am documenting pages of the moments leading up to the moment I walk across the stage at graduation. Although this just happened over a year ago, the memories are already starting to fade. It's important to get these stories and moments documented or at least recorded somewhere and as relatively close to the event as possible. I'm sure that if I had journaled that night after I graduated, I would have had more compelling stories than if I looked back on it to journal today. Let's dive in to more project details.

On the left hand page I featured patterned papers from the Kaiser Craft Finders Keepers collection and on the right hand page I used my Blue Blooms Craft Smith Co paper pad. I feature this paper pad throughout the mini album. I thought it was a great pick to emphasize my love of florals! Below is the process video for these pages. I hope you enjoy it. If you're interested in any of the products featured on this layout, I link to as many as I can find at the end of this post. Enjoy!

The left hand page features the photos of the cards that I hand off to the announcer. I was proud to be the first one of my program to walk across the stage. We sadly didn't get to keep the cards, but I snapped a photo with my phone while I was waiting. I matted these two photos on different pieces of Kaiser Craft Finders Keepers papers. I made a small cluster to the right of the photos. I used a Pink Paislee puffy floral sticker and a Target puffy sticker as the main components. A small strip of washi tape beneath them helps hide the seam. I used a Pinkfresh Studio tiny phrase sticker as another elements.

The right hand page features the photos of me waiting next in line to walk across the stage. Some great photography work done by my father. He's a little bit of a shutterbug himself. I used a dark navy floral background to help give some contrast to the left page. I matted my photos on some patterned papers for a small border. I created a small cluster to the right of my photo. The main piece is an acrylic word which I got from Target in a previous Valentine's Day collection. They were originally wine charms, but I cut off the loop to make a normal piece. I used more stickers from the Pinkfresh Studio both from the Indigo Hills collection and the Live More collection. I also managed to sprinkle in a couple of resin flowers.

The finishing touch to these layouts are the awesome Fancy Pants puffy dots. They are the perfect color combo for these pages. I hope you're looking forward to seeing the rest of this album. I also plan on filming a flip through for those of you who may want to just see the completed version with journaling. Thank you so much for stopping by for this project!
